加州州立理工大學普慕那分校電腦資訊系統教授、曾擔任該系系主任、該校商業數據分析研究所主任、高階科技發展中心主任、及商業資訊系統應用中心主任；台灣東吳大學商學研究所客座教授。過去在產業界曾擔任系統分析師和系統經理。於dot com 時代，曾創建 ehongkong.com 電子商務平台，並擔任其技術總監及董事。

 

1981 受洗歸主後，即積極參與教會及校園福音事工，曾任學生團契主席及輔導教師，教會團契主席，主日學教師，執事及執事會主席。在dot com 時期，曾參與提倡網絡科技於教會事工之應用，並舉辦南加州首次教會網絡事工研討會。鑒於科技發展迅速帶給教會之挑戰，近年專注研究科技聖經觀，並開發有關之教學教材。

 

Dr. Drew Hwang is a Professor of Computer Information Systems at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona and former Department Chair, Director of the Graduate Business Analytics Program, Director of the Center for Advanced Technology Development, and Director of the Center for Business Information Systems Applications. He has served as a visiting Professor at the Graduate School of Business at Soochow University in Taiwan. Previously in the industry he has worked as a systems analyst and systems manager. During the dot-com era, he co-founded an e-commerce platform, ehongkong.com, and served as its Chief Technology Officer and a board member.

Since coming to faith in 1981, he has been actively involving in church services and campus ministries. He has served as student fellowship leader and faculty advisor, church fellowship leader, Sunday school teacher, deacon, and chairman of the deacon board. During the dot-com era, he was passionate about applying internet technology to church ministries and organized the first church Internet ministry seminar in Southern California. Recognizing the challenges the rapid technological advancements brought to the church, he has recently been conducting intensive study in biblical view of technology and developing related teaching materials.
